Messina–Salerno Ferries – Commercial Vehicles

The Messina–Salerno ferry service operates as follows:

• From Salerno to Messina: 1 daytime departure, 7 days a week
• From Messina to Salerno: 1 overnight departure from Tuesday to Sunday, with an additional evening departure on Sundays

Tickets for commercial vehicles on the Messina–Salerno route can be purchased through:

To request a freight bill for commercial vehicle transport, please contact Customer Service at +39.090.57.37 (available Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 8:45 PM).
 

• From Messina: Take the Messina Centro motorway exit and follow the signs for "Imbarchi per Salerno" to Molo Norimberga (Zona Falcata).
• From Salerno: From the A30 motorway, follow the Sa/RC junction toward Salerno, take the Salerno Centro / Amalfi Coast exit, then follow signs for the Commercial Port to Molo Ponente.

The crossing with Cartour vessels takes approximately 9 hours. Duration may vary depending on weather conditions.

You must present:

• A valid identity document
• A printed or digital boarding pass
• The vehicle registration document for the commercial vehicle

Personal luggage: no weight limit and no additional cost.

Commercial sample cases: allowed up to 20 kg, considered as standard luggage.

Yes, refrigerated sockets are generally available on board.

If required, please request this option during booking.

By car:

• From the A20 motorway (Palermo–Messina): Exit Boccetta–Messina
• From the A18 motorway: Exit Messina Centro

In both cases, follow signs to Molo Norimberga

By train:

• Get off at Messina Centrale station
• Walk a few minutes to Molo Norimberga

By car:

• From the A3 motorway (Naples): Exit at Vietri Sul Mare
• From the A2: Take the junction for Naples/Salerno Nord/Amalfi Coast and enter the A2

 In both cases, follow signs to the Commercial Port – Molo Ponente

By bus:

• Nearest bus stop: Ligea Capolinea

By train:

• Get off at Salerno train station
• Continue by bus or on foot (approx. 50 minutes)

Ticket prices vary depending on:

• The selected accommodation (deck passage, reserved seat, or cabin)
• The type of commercial vehicle

At the port:

• Follow signs to the vehicle boarding lanes
• Enter the lane matching your vehicle type
• Present your ticket at the gate
• Follow ground staff instructions without exiting the vehicle

Onboard:

• Park as directed by onboard staff
• Turn off the engine and apply the parking brake (gear engaged)

Yes, unaccompanied vehicle transport is available on the Messina–Salerno route.

At booking, you must provide details of both the sender and receiver, including contact information.

Yes, LPG-powered vehicles are allowed, but:

• The LPG system must be turned off
• The vehicle must switch to gasoline mode during the crossing
• Notify the onboard staff accordingly
