Purchase and tickets valid for boarding

Buying a ticket for any C&T Group line online or at a ticket office you will receive at the end of the purchase a ticket that may or may not be valid for boarding according to the instructions specified below and that may vary depending on the channel of sale used.

Online purchase on carontetourist.it

Your ticket is valid for boarding; you will find the QR Code useful to access on board inside the ticket received by e-mail once the purchase is completed (PDF format). If you buy as a registered user you will also find the QR Code in the C&T APP section ("My trips")

Any post-sale changes require the need to check-in once again at the ticket office.

Purchase made at the ticket office

Your ticket is valid for boarding; once the purchase is completed, a boarding pass with RFID chip is delivered.

Purchase with telephone payment via C&T Customer Service

Your ticket is NOT valid for boarding; once the purchase is completed you’ll receive your ticket by e-mail. You need to go to the ticket office in order to get your boarding pass.

The condition below specified is an exception to the above.

If the purchase is made by a customer registered on carontetourist.it, the customer can find his ticket in the reserved area of the site/ APP (section "my trips"). From aformentioned area it's possible to make a self check-in .

Any post-sale changes require the need to check-in once again at the ticket office.

Check-in

If you purchased through C&T Customer Service and you are not registered on carontetourist.it and/or if you have made a change to your ticket after which it is no longer valid for boarding you must go to the ticket office. Showing your ticket (paper or digital) or simply the booking code/ PNR

a ticket office operator will carry out the check-in issuing the RFID boarding pass on which will be shown if required by the regulations in force also a details of the passenger list.

How long before can i check-in?

You can check-in at any time. But remember that after the aforementioned operation in case of a request to change your ticket you will be obliged to deliver the RFID boarding pass to the ticket operator.

Boarding

Once you obtained your boarding pass at the ticket office you can reach the boarding point.

The staff will read your boarding pass with a special reader that will signal to the system that all passengers and vehicles, whose info is on the RFID/QR Code chip, have boarded.

Staff must not collect your boarding pass or any copies of your ticket except in any extraordinary cases provided by the Company.

Attention!
If you have purchased a ticket using any tariff facility (residents of the smaller islands, members of an affiliated entity, etc.) you must also be provided with a document of identification to be shown during the check-in and boarding process.
